Sacked Chairman Dr Thilanga seeks security from foreign countries
The Chairman of the national dangerous drugs board Dr Thilanga Samarasinghe who was sacked from his post has sought security from five foreign embassies in
writing.The foreign embassies he had written to are United Kingdom, Norway, Canada, Australia and United States of America.
On this subject matter Dr Thilanga Samarasinghe had added yesterday the 22nd that after he had made revelations that the names of drug pedlars and those ministers who were involved are with him are he would not reveal them for personal reasons. Hence after he was sacked from the post as Chairman of the national dangerous drugs board the drug kingpins and the politicians are about to take revenge from him and hence his life is at stake.
He also had added that he had served as the Chairman of the national dangerous drugs board for a period of 10 months and during this period he had drawn plans with several foreign countries to bring a stop to drug trafficking and he regretted that he was unable to accomplish his plans.
It was also reported by Dr Thilanga Samarasinghe that before the general election he had informed the related general secretaries of the main political parties the names of those involved in drug pedlling. But his information had not been of any avail and he had only received a bad name for himself for revealing facts about those involved in the drug trafficking.
