'Sayonara' of Kuliyapitiya who videoed and displayed sex scenes ....

by renting rooms to lovers .... caught!

The younger generation of present days are clever in starting various types of new businesses and
thus earn a good sum of money. A youth had been carrying on a lodging-house in Kuliyapitiya by the name of 'Sayonara' and he had launched a new type of business. What he had done was not only renting out rooms to young lovers in the form of couples at his lodging-place, he had even gone to the extent of securing scenes of what happened in the rooms with the aid of a high quality CCTV camera fixed in a secret manner unknown to the occupants after which he had made further earnings by displaying the videos to outsiders.

Various types of young men and women had been frequenting this lodging-place in Kuliyapitiya area daily and having been spending several hours there and engaging in erotic behaviour, it was learned. The owner of this lodging-place who turn these scenes into high quality videos apart from enjoying it himself had used to separate the best parts of the videos and after editing those into half-hour parts would then flash them on a wide screen and had been displaying them in a secret mini-cinema erected close to the said lodging-place itself. He had been engaged in this activity for a long period of time.

Another category of youngsters who had made it their enjoyment of viewing these scenes through the key-hole had been frequenting this mini-cinema daily and they had become a part of the audience where they had paid Rs. 300 for half-hour and Rs. 500 for the one hour category and this activity had been going on at full swing. The owner of the lodging-house had refused transferring these video clips to a pen drive, computer or mobile phone for the reason that the business would go haywire as a result. It is learned that the individual who had been involved in running this lodging-house was known among most people as Kasun Aiya.

The audience of the Kuliyapitiya mini-cinema would from time to time call the lodging-house owner and enquire asking, "Kasun Aiya ... aren't there new pieces?" to which Kasun Aiya would respond giving the date and time when the new piece is to be exhibited and it has been reported that the youngsters would lie to their home people and come over to this cinema to see these scenes. However this entertainment had struck a wrong note because of a certain incident that took place one day. It is reported that this spot was cornered by the police as a result of a mishap faced by a member of the audience in the process of viewing a video. This mishap was that he came to see with his own two eyes that in one of the scenes of the video he was watching surprised him to see that a young girl in one of the scenes was none other than a sister of his. The brother who was enraged at this had requested the lodging-house owner Kasun Aiya to remove that video to which he had given a deaf ear. It was after that Dinesh Asanka better known as Kasun Aiya  who maintained this lodging-house known as 'Sayonara' at Anandagiri Gardens in Kuliyapitiya was taken into custody by the police.

After having been produced before Kuliyapitiya Magistrate though was given bail the following day under severe conditions, its license was cancelled by the magistrate so that the business could not be carried on any further. A large section of young members of the audience who had been visiting this lodging-place in Kuliyapitiya had fallen into serious inconvenience because of these video scenes and it has been reported that they have been now gripped with fear under these circumstances.

Opportunity now to view traffic on the roads in Sri Lanka .... live

It has been a customary habit of most persons of Sri Lanka to capture information about roads in
Sri Lanka, its distance and various places across the Google Map feature offered by the Google Company. Though information could be obtained through this map about the roads located upto now, no information has been reported about the traffic as such. But the latest welcoming news is that it is now possible to get information about traffic congestion on the roads through the Google Map. Because of this new information one is able to get his or her work attended to at the earliest by observing roads that do not get caught to traffic congestion as such. This traffic congestion is live and is something tentative. In a technological sense this traffic congestion is measured by an Android Smart mobile phone which moves along those roads and is connected to the internet. If the traffic congestion remains at some road with extra phones remaining at one location, that particular data is conveyed to the Google Map across Android which is a Google Mobile Phone directing system and then a red hue is displayed indicating that there is a congestion. If the congestion happens to be less; it is indicated by the colour green.
