Roshan into a new life after Manusha looks the other way

Tele drama actress Roshana Ondatjee who has become popular these days across the character 'Thamali' in the teledrama 'Sindu' spent an isolated past in the company of her daughter. She had been married to Member of Parliament Manusha Nanayakkara and has a daughter aged
13 years.

Ever since Manusha left Roshan and the daughter she had been exposing her laments to newspapers about her sorrow talking about the terrible injustice she has had to bear. Whatever it is, she managed things with courage and embarked on her acting career and brought up her daughter thus facing the future before her. Manusha on the other hand had got married once more; but she has had dreams that he would one day come back to her, as she had told one newspaper. But no such thing ever became a reality as such. Roshana now says after a separation of 5 long years that she has come to the conclusion that she would start her life all over again and also that she would enter into wedlock in the forthcoming year.

This is what Manusha expressed as his opinion in the year 2012 after he left Roshana: "Life should take a new turn every day. I too decided that my life also should be refreshed ... that it should change. As such I got married. Usually when people like us enter into matrimony everybody comes to know isn't it. But I thought of having my marriage in a simple manner. I got married to a daughter of a family of an ordinary businessman who is free of any political affiliation. Her name is Shanika. For some time we associated with each other as good friends. It was two years before this that it blossomed into a romance. Last year we decided that we should get married".

Roshana spoke about her new change this way: "I am a woman of iron ... because in my best years of age I suffered a lot. But today I am on a favourable footing and status. That's not by living an immoral life in society. I built up my life in the correct way. That also ... by bringing up a big daughter. I am proud today that I am on a good level.

My loving daughter is Menasha Nanayakkara. My daughter will be in the 9th Year next year. She is my biggest strength. Next year a new leaf will be turned. So because of that I am very happy ... because all this time I was staying with my daughter no. Next year that loneliness will be banished".

"Nobody tracked me in Colombo" says owner of Hummer vehicle worth 2000 lakhs, after getting caught in Matara

A Hummer-type of jeep manufactured in America and worth over Rs. 2000 lakhs was halted by the police in Matara last 20th when it was being driven without a number-plate and the occupants were subjected to questioning. This vehicle which is driven from left-hand side was being driven on the left and there had been no indication on the vehicle which displayed 'left-hand driven' either, it was
reported.

When the vehicle was stopped and questioned as to where the occupants were heading for, the 3 occupants had responded saying that they were on their way from Colombo to Kataragama Devala. The owner of this vehicle happened to be the son of a proprietor of a well-known company importing vehicles to Sri Lanka while the other two in the jeep were friends of his.

When interrogated about the registration of this Hummer vehicle manufactured in America, without a number-plate and worth over Rs. 2000 lakhs the businessman's son had told the police officers that he has no intention of securing a number of the Traffic Department of Sri Lanka for this Hummer jeep. He has further remarked that this Hummer vehicle has been imported to this country from America a month and a half ago and that it is expected to be shipped to America in another one and a half months' time. He had shown temporary documents, documents pertaining to the release of the vehicle from Customs and temporary insurance papers to the police officers. According to those papers since the vehicle is permitted to be used on the roads for a period of 3 months, the police officers have taken steps to release the vehicle.

Whatever it is, they have been advised that traffic notifications should be displayed in front and at the rear of the vehicle according to regulations of this country since this vehicle is driven on the left-hand side and that this rule had not been adhered to by them. "I drove this vehicle for a number of days in Colombo. But nobody ever stopped me. This happened only in Matara ...", the millionaire-son had told the police.

Those who point the figure at mistakes of others do not realize their mistakes - what Jesus had said

The former President Mahinda Rajapaksa issuing a Christmas message had this to say:-

"At a time when all Christians are celebrating the birth of Jesus the Christmas ethics come to our minds. They are humbleness, unity with neighbours, misunderstandings, to reconcile , to compromise hostilities and unity within families.Above all celebrations what is important to engage in religious
work.All should abide by these.

The Jesus had a message to all human beings. Many people only see the faults of others and not their own faults. Some do not see the piece of wood in their own eyes but keep on commenting on the small dot in the eyes of others. Many always think that they are correct and others are wrong. In this aspect the message of Jesus is very appropriate.
Wish all Christians a Merry Christmas!"

Jesus Christ was a huge messenger of reconciliation - President

Jesus Christ was a huge messenger of reconciliation - President

President Maithripala Sirisena in his Christmas message had this to say:

"Religion makes people show compassion, kindness and empathy towards others and it is one of the most precious guiding lights of the human civilization,  The President said Jesus Christ was a great messenger of reconciliation to the world and
it made him an eternal saviour to people around the world.

Among all victories achieved by human beings, the victory one has won after admitting to his religion supersedes all other victories

Jesus Christ, who could reduce power-crazy kings such as Herod to a mere mention in the history was a great messenger of reconciliation and social righteousness to the world, the Christmas, which was celebrated by all the Christians around the world as a universal festival, embodies loving kindness. “Over 2,000 years ago, Jesus Christ was born into this world in an era when immorality, chaos and cruelty were the order of the day, since then the new religious vision that emerged centering a humble dwelling shines eternally as a mark of human greatness. I extend my warmest greetings for a wonderful Christmas to all Christians who nourish the teachings of universal love, peace, happiness and kindness. I wish for a Happy Christmas full of Peace and Joy to all Christians"
