Those who were misled for the medical degree by the Malabe Medical College asked to give compensation
The medical degrees issued by the Malabe SAITM institute has been rejected by the Sri Lanka Medical council. In spite of the notice and warning given by the Sri lanka Medical council the
Secretary of the All Ceylon Medical officers Association Dr Jayantha Bandara has announced that despite the notification made that the medical degree from the Malabe Saitm institute is misleading the students and their parents in recruiting more students to follow their medical degree.
In this connection the secretary of the All Ceylon Medical officers association had added that in spite of this situation the Malabe Saitm institute had recruited 42 new students. He had stated that from the year 2009 students had been taken for a ride and in that contest they need to be compensated.
It is also been revealed the All Ceylon Medical officers Association has brought this issue to the knowledge of the related authorities of the government but no action has been initiated yet by the government.
