Medical council reiterates that Malabe cannot be accepted
The medical degree from the Malabe medical college would cost about rupees eight five lakhs
per student the authorities of the Sri Lanka Medical Council has informed the President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe. This has been informed in writing to them as well the Ministry of health and the inland medical ministry.This letter of intimation has been signed by the President of the Sri Lanka Medical council Professor Carlo Fonseka and the Registrar Dr Terrence de Silva.
It has been emphasised that owing to lack of sufficient and required laboratory facilities and unavailability of essential facilities in the Malabe medical college. In this context the degree from the Malabe medical college would not be recognised.
