Election Commissioner prohibits sale of week end newspapers
The elections commissioner Mahinda Deshapriya has issued a circular prohibiting the
sale of week end newspapers which had been published to be distribute from Friday .Most of these Sunday newspapers had added an ejection advantageous ploy with head lines favouring related party's campaign at the up coming election on the Monday the 17th instant.According to the elections commissioner these newspapers had been sold on Friday and Saturday as well.Hence he has prohibited the sales of these papers on Sunday and on Monday.
