Gampaha District Judge Interdicted

It is reported that the District Judge  of Gampaha District courts I. M. Dhammika Ilangasinghe, Gampaha District Judge who had also served as the Chief Magistrate of Minuwangoda was interdicted on Friday the 22nd instant by the  officials of the Judicial Service Commission following an inquiry. An inquiry had been  launched by the Commission following several complaints made against her. Sources at the Magistrate’s Court said officials from the Commission had visited the Court on Friday (22) and met the staff for further inquiries.by investigations the related books.

Several case proceeding books were also taken by the officials, sources said. Ms. Ilangasinghe has left her official residence after the interdiction.However the exact reason for her interdiction is not know yet.
