Private buses to launch strike if 15% increase in bus fare not given

According to the  agreement with national transport commission the bus fares of private buses should be increased by 15%.This increase is
due on the 1st of July according to the agreement.

The  members of the All Lanka Private Bus Owners Association had staged a media briefing in Narahenpita on the 15th instant.The secretary of the association Anjana Priyanjith addressing had added that the  15% bus fare increase is due on the 1st July according to the agreement the private bus owners have had with the national transport commission.

In the event this increase is not allowed from  the 01st July they would resort to strike action from the the mid night of the 04th July.He had said that although the President of the Sri Lanka private bus owners association Gemunu Wijeratne was not present at the media briefing he too has agreed to this course of action.

In this context secretary of the Lanka private bus owners  association Anjana Priyanjith has threatened the authorities of a possible strike action if the 15% increase is not allowed.
