A pirith ceremony at Lakshapana power station premises to obtain blessings for rain
An all night pirith ceremony was organized on the 3rd instant at the premises of the Canyon power station which is under the purview of the
Lakhsapana power station.The purpose behind this pirith ceremony was the to obtained blessings of weather gods to obtain sufficient rain breaking the drought season.It was also intended to bless all citizens of the country and particularly the employees of the Ceylon Electricity Board.
The pirith ceremony was conducted within a very attractive pirith 'mandapaya' specially constructed for this purpose.
