who became Dream Star
The crown at the finale of the Derana Dream Star Season 6 Competition was clinched by Janith
Iddamalgoda last 05th.Janith who happens to be a student of Nalanda College, Colombo is a boy who lives an extremely difficult life in Nikaweratiya. Janith is the youngest in a family consisting of 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Janith's parents do not have a permanent job as such and they trek out a living with the meagre income they get by cutting bricks. Janith was born in Nikaweratiya and followed his schooling at his village school but doors were opened for him at Nalanda College in Colombo for the very reason of his ability in singing.
At present Janith is following studies for the advanced level in the Science Stream at Nalanda College. Janith who claimed the crown was the lucky winner of an Aqua Hybrid motor vehicle, a plot of land worth 25 lakhs, 10 lakhs in cash and many other awards. Yashoda Priyadarshani who competed for the crown ended up winning second place while the third place went to Chithru Patali.
