If bribes are asked for admission of students dial 1954
The Commissioner of the commission of Bribery and corruption former senior superintendent of police Neville Guruge had said that in the event a Principal of any school demands a bribe in cash or a sexual bribe from the parents to admit a child to any school to complain by telephoning the number 1954.
The Commissioner had quipped that there has been an incline in the number of instances where Principals had requested for such bribes.
The Commissioner had added that in the recent past the number of cases asking for sex bribes had increased to some heights and hence in this area more attention has been focussed and action to be taken is envisaged.
