The teachers union has requested to change the rule of admitting only 35 students to a class

From the year 2016 a Supreme Court order has been made to accommodate only 35 students in a classroom of Grade 1

students.This is because over 35 students in a class would be difficult to be handled by a teacher.

This ruling is only a   psychological concept  of educationalists.This also is a good concept but is not practical for a country like Sri Lanka was the view of the Teachers Union.They have requested the authorities of the education department to challenge this ruling made by the Supreme court. They have  issued a notice requesting to make an appeal in this regard.
