Police commences investigations on Avant Garde vessel

The Sri Lanka Navy had complained to the Galle Police in regard to the Avant Garde vessel carrying arms found in the territorial waters

of Sri Lanka on the 06th instant. The Police has commenced investigations into this complaint made.

The Sri Lanka Navy who had captured this Avant Garde vessel with five foreigners together with 33 staff members has also found T 56 and 84 S firearms in total 816 and had captured about two lakhs of cartridges.

The ship has still not reached the Galle harbour .The Sri Lanka Navy had requested to bring the ship to the Galle harbour.
