Threats to Bonnie who had helped to arrest Kondaya

The Gampaha Municipal council  United Peoples Freedom Alliance Member Bonnie Perera has alleged that because of a n opposing political party member had accused him of assisting the police to arrest Kondaya
had resulted in receiving death threats. Kondaya had been arrested as a suspect in the murder of five year old Seya.This had been disclosed yesterday the 12th.

On this allegation Bonnie Perera had disclosed that the suspect in Seya's murder Kodaya had lived in his area Banduwathugoda. Before he had become a Municipal council member about 16 years ago when Kondaya was admitted to Gampaha hospital after drinking poison had helped him to recover.At that time Bonnie Perera had been a employee in the Gampaha hospital.

When the police and the CID came to Banduwathugoda in search of Kodaya he had helped them to locate him. After Kondaya was arrested some women in the area came forward shouting slogans saying that the law should be strictly enforced. After this incident he had known that a Buddhist monk had shown his anger for his action.

In this regard Bonnie Perera is having death threats. In this regard he had lodged a complaint in the Bemmulla Polis station, the entry number is BO 283/08.All those who are suspected have been mentioned in this complaint. He has added that in order to get political mileage his political opponents in the Municipal council are making these stories to spread he had quipped.He had also added that the women Samurdhi personnel are also attacked in this manner.
