Free bus travel for media personnel

All provincial media personnel who have been issued with a valid media identity card from the Ministry of mass media and communication would be allowed to travel free in all CTB buses. This media identity card could be used as proof of been a media personnel.

This was added by the deputy minister of transport and district parliamentarian of Kurunegala district Ashoka Abeysinghe.He had added that this concession that is to be implemented would be discussed with the Minister of Transport Nimal Siripala de Silva and would be implemented.

The deputy Minister Ashoka Abeysinghe had added that the service the media personnel scattered throughout the country need to be hailed and the services rendered by them to the entire society need to be appreciated. Hence they need to be recognised and this facility is an incentive given for the services rendered.

This was added by the deputy minister Ashoka Abeysinghe while addressing the monthly meeting of the Ethugalpura media society at the Wayamba  Jana Kala Triangle.
