Colombo - Gampaha Preferential Votes released
Ranil establishes record of having passed 5 lakhs!
Most of the voters who were curious to know was the Preferential Votes of Colombo and Gampaha which was incidentally was delayed; but it has now been released. It is as follows. Ranil Wickremasingha has created a record by exceeding 5 lakhs votes from Colombo. Prior to this it was Chandrika Cumaratunge who held such a record by getting 463000. This time Mahinda had claimed the most number of Preferential votes amounting to close upon 423000 from Kurunegala. The total of Preferential votes is as follows.
