Three PSD personnel involved in Rugby player Thajudeen's murder
The Minister of Health and cabinet spokeman Rajitha Senaratne speaking at a media
conference yesterday in Colombo had confessed that three personnel attached to the former president's security unit during the Rajapaksa regime has been responsible for the murder of the popular rugby player Mohamed Wasim Thajudeen in May 2013.He was supposed to have been burned to death inside his cat along Park Road,Colombo 5 close to the Sharlika sports grounds.
It is reported that Mohamed Wasim Thajudeen had been abducted in a Defender jeep belonging to a clergy of a non governmental organisation which he had received from the government.It has also been reported that the head of the non governmental organisation had been questioned by the police in this regard.
The death of Wasim Thajudeen is suspected to be a murder and in this connection about the incident that occurred on the 17th May 2013 a report has been handed over the courts by the Police.To a question raised by a media personnel the Minister and media spokesman of the cabinet Rajitha Senaratna had said that a son of a strong politician has involvements in this murder.
