FROM GUN SHOTS IN KARACHCHI!

Wasim Akram the distinguished cricketer was fortunate enough to save his life just by a hair's breadth from gun shots
aimed at him this Wednesday afternoon when travelling in a vehicle in the town of Karachchi!

This incident had taken place in Karkas area in the city of Karachchi. Wasim Akram who had been travelling in his motor vehicle to the National Playground in Pakistan has had to slow down the vehicle for a short while because of a traffic congestion and just at that moment an unknown gunman who had been in another vehicle had opened fire towards his vehicle. However, Wasim Akram had been fortunate enough to speed up his vehicle immediately and save his life and get away from there and wheels of his vehicle had suffered damage as a result of the gun shots, it is reported.

After the incident, a statement given by Wasim Akram who was contacted by Pakistan Police had mentioned that this could be a planned attack of shooting. He had stated that he had understood that this was committed with the connivance of two parties and when he was stuck amidst the traffic congestion on the road he had noticed the two groups involved in a dialogue and one vehicle had slightly knocked against his vehicle and simultaneously an attack of gunshots was launched by the other vehicle. Wasim Akram had supplied the number of the vehicle which aimed the attack on him, to the police.

Pakistan media has reported that further police investigations are underway in connection with the incident. In the meantime former Pakistan captain and politician Imran Kahn has issued an announcement condemning this incident.
