ABOUT ELECTION VICTORY
WHAT IS THE TRUTH ABOUT INTELLIGENCE UNIT REPORT?
It was the Intelligence Report which became the popular topic last week about strategies used by various segments trying to hoodwink the public
at the forthcoming General Election. It was understood that the Intelligence Unit was handed over to President Maithripala Sirisena last week by the State Intelligence Unit as to who would be victorious on a survey that was conducted. According to that report, while one report predicted that the United National Party would be victorious, what another media said was the UPFA would win. So far however it no one has confirmed whether an Intelligence Report of this nature has in reality been prepared. On the other hand, if victory or defeat could be ascertained across Intelligence Reports, even the expenditure that is incurred in holding the election could be avoided.
It is a well-known fact that at the last Presidential Election there was n Intelligence Unit Report during the pre-election period to say that Mahinda would lose and that Ravaya Newspaper had to face had to face problems for having broadcast it. Therefore these creators may have sometimes thought that it would be productive to market the 'Intelligence Unit' about the forthcoming election across this opinion. Contradictory information about this survey came to light about these surveys the previous week for the very reason the postal vote was announced on Monday the 3rd.
But according to information received by us, no such Intelligence Report has been issued from any quarters. Two Reports forwarded as Intelligence Reports regarding as Intelligence Unit Reports with regard to the UNP and UPFA for election propaganda, from BELOW
