Mahinda’s Doctor and Nurse withdrawn
The medical staff, a doctor and a nurse who were assigned to the former president Mahinda Rajapaksa had been withdrawn from 6 p.m on the 17th instant.
The medical staff had been assigned to the former president seconded to serve from the Army medical unit. The medical Doctor and the Nurse had received orders from the Director of the Army hospital to report back to their former bases at the Army hospital.
It is learnt that the medical staff of the former president Mahinda Rajapaksa had comprised of another Doctor and a few other nurses to perform the duties of the president. They had been recalled back to the Army hospital much earlier. Hence those who were recalled on the 17th instant had been the Doctor and the solitary Nurse who had performed the duties in the medical team.
