Wimal's daughter who tried to imitate father ... in hospital
Daughter of Member of Parliament Wimal Weeravansha, the latter of whom is confined to remand has tried walking along her father's footsteps and thus imitate him and was admitted to Ragama Basic Hospital yesterday (23) for having starved herself at home, hospital sources say.
MP Wimal Weeravansha has for the second day (23) engaged in fasting
by refusing meals while some political news say that he is using a strategy of entering prison hospital in the future by developing a sickly condition of refusing to eat thus laying a foundation for his future strategy.Though Wimal has been continuously pleading for bail by saying that his daughter is currently preparing for her Ordinary Level Examination and that she has refused to take her meals because her father is under a fast and that her studies are hampered as a result of his being imprisoned; but his request was rejected. Prior to this, Wimal's wife was wanted by the police to be taken into custody on an alleged passport incident at which moment she was admitted to a private hospital (Malambe Neville Fernando) by indicating that she was ailing, thus trying to avoid police. On that occasion Wimal's wife had embraced her son and daughter and engaged in a role-play with the motive of winning public sympathy.
