Sweden young girl engaged in business comes to Sri Lanka in search of father -- mother
A Sri Lankan young girl comes to Sri Lanka in search of her father and mother. It is said that she had been taken away to be adopted by a Swedish couple when she was 6 months old.
She had been brought up in Sweden till she was 31 years old. At a time when she had reached an understanding age the Swedish couple who brought
her up had revealed relevant information about her father and mother. They had even shown her a set of documents in that connection. Presently she is involved in business activities in Sweden and had arrived in the island on a tour, also in search of her mother and father.According to what she says her mother is one Kamaradeva Aarachchige Shriyani Wijeysingha. Her father's name is supposed to be Nimal Karunatillaka and she has 2 brothers by the names of Shantha Kumara and Asanka Raj. At the time she was born she had been living at the address of No. 141, Hendeniya, Peradeniya. This young girl had been born on June 21st, 1985 at Kurunegala General Hospital and she had been given the name Syamalee in this country. Though she had been searching for her genuine parents for 1 month after coming to the island, she had been unable to make any positive trace about them. She had even been to Peradeniya to make inquiries in this connection. The parents are supposed to be living at a different location, allegedly in Anuradhapura. In the meantime the girl has found lodging at a place in Midigama area for a period of about 1 month where tourists are provided with lodging facilities. The owner of this place is one Yelum Manoj.
"This girl is like a Sri Lankan girl. She came into our hotel and asked me to help find her parents. She walked around for about a month in this country and looked for her parents ... but couldn't find. She says that she likes to see her parents. She believes that sometimes her father may not be among the living. She's pleading to find her parents", Manoj said. Her telephone no. is 077 464 7541.
