Amparai Engineer couple who told the world that an arm lost was no barrier for marriage!
We report about weddings of well-known characters frequently; but now we have had to speak about a wedding ceremony of a couple who are behind the screen, so to say. It has become an inevitable occasion for publicising for the simple reason that within it is embedded the noble quality of humanity and features of true love.
This special wedding ceremony was held yesterday
(4) at the Colombo Cinnamon Lake Side Hotel between the couple Chamath and Shalika. The bridegroom is minus his right arm. But the romance that flowered in schooldays nevertheless stuck like a rock even because of the lost arm. By profession both partners were Computer Engineers. Both of them were born and bred in a remote area of Amparai. At a later time they had come to Colombo and after further education had embarked in the field of computers. Chamath receives his computer degree from an Australian campus while Shalika on the other hand secures her computer degree from University of Sri Jayawardenepura.Though Chamath had to forego one of his arms because of an unexpected and unfortunate accident he faced one day during the course of his life, like it happens that most romances end up, this love story did not end up that way. They tasted the luxury of a pre-wedding shoot, and a high-class hotel and what modern youth dream of complete with all that and thus enjoyed a gorgeous wedding ceremony and this way they announced to the whole world that love is more powerful than everything else.
Chamath has introduced himself in his Facebook Intro as 'I am the luckiest man on the earth'. A collection of photos of that wedding ceremony and that of photos clicked earlier, from below
