Animals in cages at the Dehiwala Zoo to be freed out of the cages soon
It is reported that the in the year 2017 the Dehiwala Zoological gardens is to be differently seen with a new outlook.This is according to the Minister of wild life and conservation Gamini Jayawickrema Perera.
This change would be brought about by allowing the animals to romp about freely instead of been locked up in cages.They are proposed to be at different locations moving freely.It is said that the Dehiwala
Zoological gardens would be developed in three phases.The animals would get the opportunity to be more free once the concept is completed similar to the Zoo that has been constructed in Pinnawela.It has been stated that the Dehiwala Zoo would be transformed similarly to those in overseas developed countries.It is also learnt that after development public could get the opportunity to view the Zoo in the safari manner.
