Because of traffic we incur loses, clear the roads of traffic otherwise we will strike -- Gemunu
The president of the private bus owners association Gemunu Wijeratne has warned the government that if arrangements are not made to ease the traffic congest ions on the Colombo roads and suburbs by the 15th of next month they would resort to strike action.
It has been stated that owing to the severe traffic congestion the private bus industry has fallen into a
very conflict situation.As a result the speed of a bus has been reduced to 4 KMHThis has caused a complicated matter to the owners of private buses was what the President of the private bus owners association Gemunu Wijeratne had disclosed.Although the related authorities have been conveyed of this matter no solutions have been found.
Hence the authorities of the private bus owners association have resorted to launch a strike from the 15th of next month.
Adding further he had said that there are 30 routes in Colombo and suburbs which would be affected.
