Issipathana gets Pedris Park at last

Colombo Issipathana Vidyalaya has been 62 years in existence.But were sans  a playing ground.The Minister of provincial and local government Faizer Mustapha has acted under the instructions of the Prime Minister has acted to give possession of the Pedris Park in Colombo 5 to Isipathana Vidyalaya.

Hitherto the Pedris Park had been owned by the Colombo Municipal council.

This has been made possible when the Principal of Issipathana Vidyalaya Premasiri Yapa had made a request. It is reported that the administration, maintenance and development activities would be done through a understanding between the Colombo Municipal Council and the school. 

There are about 4700 students in Issipathana Vidyalaya. The rugger team over the years had excelled producing a number of Sri Lankan players.It is reported that hitherto they have been renting out playgrounds for the sports activities.
