Ramith Rambukwella barred from driving temporarily
The Colombo traffic magistrate Chandana Kalansuriya had instructed on the 27th instant to suspend the driving licence of former Minister Keheliya Rambukawella's son the Sri Lankan cricketer Ramith Rambukwella's temporarily as he was found to have driven under the influence of liquor and had met with a serious
accident.The authorities of the cinnamon gardens police station had accused him of five charges.They were driving the vehicle recklessly,not avoiding the accident,driving after consuming liquor, using fake number plates and driving a vehicle registered in the name of another party.

Ramith Rambukwella had plead guilty for the first two charges while he had not plead guilty for the other charges to the courts..
The authorities of the Cinnamon gardens police had told courts that he had been found to be after liquor which was proved after blowing the balloon .They had also told that after two hours he had been produced before a judicial medical officer to ascertain whether he had injuries on his body.In the report of the medical officer it had been stated that he was smelling of liquor.
It is learnt that cricketer Ramith Rambukwella had participated in a night club party in Kollupitiya and had been drinking heavily.The accident had taken place when he was returning home in the wee hours of the morning.
Ramith Rambukwella had been allowed police bail and asked to be present in courts by the authorities of the courts on 18th October when the case is to be hear
