President seeks advice of Attorney General on accusation made in Australian web news item
The Pressident Maithripala Sirisena has clarified on a news item published in a Australian web site.The Sydney Morning Herald web site has quoted that when President Maithripala Sirisena was functioning as the Minister of Agriculture and Agrarian Services a member of his ministry
had obtained a sum as bribery.In this connection President Maithripala Sirisena had quipped that during his entire political career he has never taken any bribes nor he has encouraged anyone to take bribes. In this regard he had instructed the Attorney General to take action against the allegation mentioned in the said Sydney Morning Herald web site.
