Yemen friend in room kills Sri Lankan without any fight!
A Sri Lankan who had been employed for about 10 years in Saudi Arabia had been murdered in a room in Riyadh resulting in a case of stabbing.
The two of them had been employed at a glass factory in Yangu area in Saudi and this murder had taken place in a mysterious
manner without any personal conflict or argument, it is understood. The Yemen national staying in the said room where the deceased person was staying has been taken into custody on suspicion in relation to the murder. The deceased's friend who had entered the room on midnight last 16th at the time the deceased was engaged in a call on his mobile phone had approached him from behind and had stabbed him on his neck region without rhyme or reason and had later surrendered to the police by himself saying, "I killed the friend".There had been no conflict between the two of them and it is assumed that the Yemen national had got involved in some sort of a mental problem and had subsequently committed this crime. The deceased is a father of three by the name of Shyam Shihabdeen, aged 34 years living in Horapola, Kekirawa. Since investigations are not over, it has not been possible to get the body down and also because the deceased has to be buried within 24 hours after death, relatives of the family concerned had consented to have the final rites on his body be performed in the country of his death, it was reported.
