Malaysian lass abused in Ella
Three youngsters have been taken into custody accused of abusing a Malaysian lass who had been in a tourist holiday bungalow in Ella area.
The Malaysian lass had been lodging in a tourist bungalow
in Ella Kithalwella Ratmaldandawatta area.One day when she was returning to the tourist bungalow by foot on a somewhat of a deserted road three youngsters who had been hiding had caught her and attempted to abuse her. She had been pushed aside. She had dropped her expensive mobile phone worth tens of thousands of rupees. The three youngsters had fled away with her expensive mobile phone.It is reported that the youngsters had not seen the other mobile phone which was in the pocket of the Malaysian lass. She had taken a call to the tourist holiday bungalow she was lodging in and related what had happened to her.
The manager of the tourist holiday bungalow on hearing the story had immediately telephoned the police. Some police officers who were on patrol had been able to arrest the three youngsters within 10 minutes after the telephone call and had identified them. One person is a bus conductor from the Bandarawela Hilloya area while the other two his friends.
All three are to be produced before the Magistrate.
