President’s House (Janadhipathi Mandiriya) in Fort open for public from tomorrow the 08th
The President Maithripala Sirisena has decided to exhibit the premises of the President’s House ( Janadhipathi Mandiraya) at Janadhipathi Mawatha in Fort from tomorrow the 08th instant.
This would be possible when this is declared opened by the President Maithripala Sirisena at a solemn ceremony. Accordingly the President’s House could be viewed by anybody who wishes to.
President Maithripala Sirisena since sworn in as the new President has not yet used the President’s House for any function. The former President Mahinda Rajapaksa had used it during his tenure as
President to entertain foreign dignitariesIt also should be mentioned that during the previous era secret bunkers were also built inside this Mandiraya. It is learnt that for students from outstation to come and view the Janadhipathi Mandiraya facilties have been provided.
