In the midst of Sabaragamuwa Uni student’s protest Palitha has stood on his jeep vehicle
The deputy minister of cultural affairs Palitha Thevarapperuma had been invited to be the chief guest at the opening of the new cultural unit of
the Sabaragamuwa University.The students had made a protest not allowing him to proceed to the point of the opening ceremony until their issues were resolved.The deputy minister had no other option but to climb on to his jeep vehicle and to argue with the University students. He had later left the premises without taking part in the ceremony.
