As Anura Senanayake has no ailments is in Prison remand
The former Deputy Inspector General of the Police Anura Senanayake was ordered to be remanded by the Chief Magistrate of the Colombo Magistrate courts in connection with the murder of Wasim Thajudeen the famous rugby player in May 2012.
The attorney at law appearing for the former DIG had requested bail.AS bail was not allowed the attorney at law had wanted him to be admitted to the prison hospital.The magistrate had ordered the
prison doctor to verify his health and had found nothing was absolutely wrong with him and did not give permission to admit him to a room in the prison hospital.He has been hence admitted to a ward in the prison.He is under police guard and in the meantime statements are recorded from him until he is to be produced before courts on the 26th May.
