Windies Women clinch the ICC W T/20 trophy By 08 wickets

The final of the ICC Women's world T20 encounter was played at Eden Gardens Kolkata today the 3rd instant  between  Australia women and he West Indies Women.The Australia Women's skipper Lanning won the toss and elected to bat.They posted a record  formidable total of 148 runs for the
loss of only 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

In reply to this formidable total the West Indies Women reached the target with also a record total with the loss of only two wickets  in 19.3 overs winning comfortably by 08 wickets. Those were the wickets of both openers HK Mathews ( 66) and skipper SR Taylor( 59)......Mathews was adjudicated  as the 'woman of the match' while skipper Taylor was named as the 'player of the tournament'.

The match was played as a day game while the final of the ICC world T/20 between the West Indies and England is scheduled to commence at 7 pm as a day/night encounter.
