A stock of "Babul"imported targeting school children nabbed at BIA
A large stock of "Babul" with were mixed with drugs targeting to be sold to school children were nabbed by the heath division of the Bandaranaike International Airport. The customs unit at the BIA had revealed that this large stock of "Babul"had been imported from countries like Maldives,India,
Pakistan and Kuwait,sent in a normal manner as parcels.This stock of "Babul" imported is against the provisions in the Food Act.The stock of "Babul" thus recovers was valued at rupees one billion.
The consultant physician Palitha Maheepala, the director general of the health services had inspected the stock of "Babul" on the 16th instant.
