Former MP Mrs. Pavithra Wanniaarachchi had mentioned that former President Mr. Mahinda Rajapaksa has decided
to contest the forthcoming General Election from the Ratnapura District. She had confirmed this across her Facebook Account after meeting the former President in Mirihana and that he had accepted the request she had made that he contest from the Ratnapura District. As such, it is revealed that there is truth in the rumours which circulated during the past few days that Mahinda Rajapaksa is to contest from Ratnapura.
