Stocks of Mars and Snicker chocolates ....
out from market!
The American Mars Company has decided to recall a stock of Mars and Snickers Chocolates distributed in 55 countries including Sri Lanka. The reason behind the decision is that pieces of
plastic had been found with Snickers chocolates from the Netherlands production centre. The chocolate-type known as Snickers is a Mars product where chocolate is applied or spread on biscuit flakes and which provides a wonderful taste. What was mentioned in a complaint made by a consumer of The Netherlands last January is that there were several plastic pieces in a certain chocolate bar of a Snickers product. While it was confirmed after examination too, the Company accepted responsibility for the blunder.
Subsequently in order to preserve their goodwill and to confirm the quality The Netherlands factory of that Company had decided to once more recall not only Snickers distributed all over the world by the Netherlands factory but even all chocolates bearing all other names.
Mars Company is one of the largest food production Companies in the world, drawing an annual income of 33 billion dollars food items under 29 trade names, to the market including Milkway, M and M, Galaxy, Dolmio Sauce and Fedigree while their parent Company is situated in America.
Though the said stocks are recalled they would still be continuing the process of distribution in the previously stated countries and would be distributing fresh stocks.
