The maximum fine on SEH Rs 21 lakhs -to a gas lorry
The biggest fine that has been imposed on the Southern Express Highway to date has been to the owner of the heavy lorry carrying gas cylinders whish had collided on to iron security fence . The
fine had been imposed for the damages caused.The fine imposed had been Rs 21,85,000/ ( rupees twenty one lakhs and eighty five thousand )The accident of damaging the security fence had occurred on the 15th December at 1.30 a.m. The accident had been at a place where there is an incline of about 80 feet.The spot in the SEH had been near Navadagala area on the left hand side security gate. After crashing on to the security gate the lorry with the gas cylinders had not fallen into the precipice. It is learnt that the two occupants in the lorry has had a narrow shave. and escaped in a miraculous fashion.
This fine had been made for the damages caused to the security gate.
