The wife of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa,Shiranthi Rajapaksa has been summoned to the President;s commission of inquiry and investigate and inquire into serious
acts of fraud & corruption for abuse of power, state resources and Privileges to obtain a statement next week.The statement is to be obtained in regard to helping a luxury house owned by the National Housing Development Authority that had been sold for a nominal price to a media advisor.
Shiranthi Rajapaksa had been accused for aiding a luxury house built at the Mattegoda housing scheme belonging to the National Housing Development Authority worth over a billion rupees that was sold to a media advisor at a very low price. .
In this regard investigations had already commenced and some officials of the NHDA had already been questioned.
