Divi Neguma name changed to Samurdhi again
The last government had changed the name of Samurdhi department and had named it as Divi Neguma department.However a cabimet decision has
been taken again to rename the Divi Neguma department as the Samurdhi department.This had been made upon a suggestion brought forward by the Minister of social empowerment SB.Dissanayake.
This change would help the Samurdhi recipients to get more benefit which in turn the developmental activities in villages would increase is the view anticpated by the related authorities.
