Mahinda had skipped the budget debate as the party would split - Aluthgamage
The former Minister of sports and a huge loyalist of former president Mahinda Rajapaksa giving his views to a this Sunday's
newspaper had quipped that the former president had purposely evaded in voting for the budget.Mahindananda Aluthgamage had disclosed that even if the entire country was against the budget proposals he was not against.
Then he had been asked then why he did not vote?
They had told Mahinda Rajapaksa not to come.
Why?
That is if he voted for the budget, there would have been a split within the party.
How could that happen?
Mahinda Rajapaksa is the turning instrument of the country. That decision would have been if taken at a incorrect time. Then the blame would come to him if the party split. We are the ones who told him not to come and that we will take the decision.
