A place found from where inferior quality CT Scan machines are imported to national hospital
The secretary of the Radiologists association in Sri Lanka Dharmakeerthi Epa has surfaced the news that CT Scan machines which have been discarded and not suitable for use in many foreign countries have been imported for the usage at the Colombo National
hospital. These CT Scan machines have been recommended by the technical board which have been classified as obsolete and redundant.The Minister of Health Rajitha Senaratne had instructed that the services and knowledge of the members of the Radiologists association should be taken in this regard.Despite his instructions a technical board comprising of less knowledgeable personnel have been deployed when importing of CT Scan machines selected by the Ministry of Health was the view of the members of the Radiologists association in Sri Lanka. This was quipped by the secretary of the Radiologists association in Sri Lanka Dharmakeerthi Epa.
