The Bodu Bala Sena organisation has intentions of contesting the forthcoming general election. They
have now decided on how to contest by making a new party.The Bodu Bala Sena organisation has a registered party as the “Eksath Lanka Maha Sabha Pakshaya”. However the name of this party had been changed to the Bodu Bala Sena Alliance. The Bodu Bala Sena organisation has decided to contest in the forthcoming general election under the name of the new party.
It is reported that only Buddhist Monks would be eligible to send nominations papers and the BBS has no intentions of joining an alliance with any other party.
