Tree falls on Baseline road, claims one life

Along with the incessant rains a huge tree had fallen on to Borella Baseline road which had fallen on some vehicles that were moving along Baseline road at the time. One motor cyclist a resident of Kelaniya had been an unfortunate victim who had been injured. After he was admitted to the national hospital had succumbed to his injuries.

It is also reported that a fire brigade had rushed to the scene for rescue operations/A traffic congestion had resulted around the area owing to this incident.
