Wasantha murdered with axe-blow on face

SF Lokka the prime suspect in the incident of the murder of Karate Wasantha the latter of whom claimed Guinness records when Wasantha was in his nightclub in Anuradhapura is still at loose. On the night of the incident 24 persons had gone to the nightclub known as Panorama and while a crowd of masons and labourers had destroyed the
nightclub, it was SF Lokka and two Navy soldier comrades of his who had approached Wasantha face to face and had dealt the fatal blows on him with the intention of putting an end to his life. Though the Navy soldier who is supposed to have aimed that deadly blow was apprehended by the police a day after the incident, the other Navy soldier and SF Lokka had disappeared.

In the meantime, what was reported yesterday was that the other Navy soldier who left the village after the incident was cordoned. He had gone to Karainagar Navy Camp to report for duties as usual as if nothing had happened. Having been nabbed while serving on board a vessel on investigations conducted by police, he had this to tell the police:

"I know SF Lokka very well. Both of us are in Anuradhapura. I also got involved in the attack against Wasantha Zoysa. It was I who robbed the monies in the drawers there after attacking. All that money we spend on eating and drinking. After attacking Wasantha I straight away went to Karainagar Army Camp. I served there. I saw media reports on this incident while in the ship. But I didn't go to tell anybody. I didn't think that we'd get cornered. The police came and with the support of the Navy took me into custody. I now realise that it's not possible to get away by doing wrong".

Though it is said that Wasantha and Iron (SF Lokka) were bosom friends for quite some time, they had fallen off with each other just a short period of time before this. Though Iron had frequently come to Wasantha's nightclub for the purpose of drinking and associating females, it has been revealed at investigations that recently Wasantha had said that he would not allow Iron to enter the nightclub until making the payment of Rs. 84000 which the latter did not pay the club and had slowly vanished. It was at this point that the friendship began to turn sour.

The manner in which he had killed Wasantha is torturous. He had made the Navy soldier who was nabbed earlier deal a blow with the axe right on the centre of Wasantha's face. Thus Wasantha had collapsed and died on the spot. SF Lokka who took revenge on Wasantha is still missing.
